Gillian Welch and David Rawlings are an American duo based in Nashville, Tennessee, who met at Berklee College of Music and have recorded together since Welch's 1996 debut Revival. Their spare acoustic sound draws on Appalachian, bluegrass and country traditions across albums including Time (The Revelator), The Harrow & the Harvest and Woodland, and they have twice won the Grammy for Best Folk Album.
