Rising Appalachia

Rising Appalachia is a folk ensemble led by sisters Leah Song and Chloe Smith, who were raised in Atlanta, Georgia by a fiddler mother and a sculptor father. The band blends Southern folk traditions with New Orleans and international influences and has released ten albums, touring worldwide and appearing at Red Rocks and on NPR's Tiny Desk. The current lineup adds Duncan Wickel on fiddle and cello, David Brown on upright bass and Biko Casini on percussion.
