Pam Tillis is an American country singer-songwriter born in Plant City, Florida, and the daughter of country singer Mel Tillis. Her 1990s hits include Maybe It Was Memphis, Don't Tell Me What to Do and the number-one Mi Vida Loca; she won the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year award in 1994 and became a Grand Ole Opry member in 2000.
