Brantley Gilbert

Brantley Gilbert is an American country rock singer, songwriter and record producer from Jefferson, Georgia, born in 1985. He began in Nashville as a staff songwriter for Warner Chappell Publishing, and his material reached country radio through other artists before it did under his own name: Jason Aldean recorded "My Kinda Party" and "Dirt Road Anthem", the latter a song Gilbert had already cut himself, and also recorded the Gilbert co-writes "The Same Way" and "Small Town Small". Gilbert self-released A Modern Day Prodigal Son (2009) and Halfway to Heaven (2010) through Average Joes Entertainment before signing with Big Machine's Valory Music Co. division, which reissued that material and carried him to four number-one country singles: "Country Must Be Country Wide", "You Don't Know Her Like I Do", "Bottoms Up" and "One Hell of an Amen". Five further albums followed on Valory: Just as I Am (2014), The Devil Don't Sleep (2017), Fire & Brimstone (2019), So Help Me God (2022) and Tattoos (2024). He signed with BBR Music Group in October 2025 and released his eighth studio album, Sins of the Father, on 24 July 2026, preceded by the single "Good Damn" and by the title track and "Good Ol' Boys", both issued on Father's Day that year. Through 2026 he headlines the Real American Tour, extended into November, with John Morgan in direct support and Jay Webb and Atlus appearing on selected dates. Two subjects recur in his writing and in interviews: a near-fatal truck accident he survived at nineteen, and his Christian faith. Musically he sits at the loud end of mainstream country, pairing hard-rock guitars and arena-scaled choruses with small-town Georgia narrative detail, and his amphitheatre sets draw heavily on the singles catalogue built across that fifteen-year run.
