Bronwyn is the solo project of fiddler, singer and songwriter Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, who now records and tours under the single name Bronwyn after deciding her full name had grown unwieldy. She is from Charlottesville, Virginia, came up playing Irish music as a teenager and went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has been named IBMA Fiddle Player of the Year twice, and she played fiddle in Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway from its formation in 2021 until the band dissolved in May 2025, a run that produced back-to-back Grammy wins for Best Bluegrass Album with Crooked Tree and City of Gold. Earlier she was a member of the Boston band Mile Twelve. Her first solo record, Fiddler's Pastime, arrived in 2020 as an instrumental showcase; I Built A World followed in 2024 and introduced her singing, something she has credited Molly Tuttle and Shelby Means with encouraging. Her third album, Rattlin' Bones, was released on 14 August 2026 and is the first built largely on her own writing and co-writes. She co-produced it with Brent Truitt of the SteelDrivers, and the sessions drew Nashville players including Jerry Douglas and Bryan Sutton. The lead single, Sticks and Stones, features Sutton on guitar, Frank Evans on banjo, Harry Clark on mandolin, Jeff Picker on bass and Darrell Scott singing harmony, while the later single Gallatin Road was co-written with songwriter Pat McLaughlin and named for the Nashville thoroughfare. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut under her own name on 2 April 2025, backed by Frank Evans, Tristan Scroggins, Bryan Sutton and Larry Cook. Her touring band is Scroggins on mandolin, Evans on banjo, Cook on bass and Grant Dresnok on guitar.
