Zepparella
Tribute to Led Zeppelin
rock · folk rock · blues
Zepparella is an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band based in San Francisco, formed in 2005 by drummer Clementine. The current lineup is Anna Kristina on lead vocals, Gretchen Menn on lead guitar, Holly West on bass and Clementine on drums, and the group plays hard rock, blues rock and folk rock drawn from across the Zeppelin catalogue. The membership has turned over several times since the beginning: Nila Minnerok played bass in the original group; vocalist Miaya Shambry and bassist Angeline Saris joined in 2011; Noelle Doughty later replaced Shambry; Anna Kristina came in as lead singer in 2017; and West took over on bass afterwards. Their recordings span live and studio work, beginning with Live at 19 Broadway in 2005 and continuing through A Pleasing Pounding in 2010, a self-titled studio album in 2014, Live at Sweetwater in 2016 and Zeppelin Forever in 2025. A parallel body of work exists on video: filmed performances posted to YouTube have drawn a large audience, with their version of When the Levee Breaks alone passing twenty million views. Steve Vai joined the band on stage at the Malibu Guitar Festival in May 2017. Zepparella tours nationally, playing clubs and theatres across the United States.
