Void
Void is a five-piece thrash metal band from Lafayette, Louisiana, formed in 2019 by vocalist Jackson Davenport. The lineup is Davenport on vocals, Gabe LeJeune and Chris Braune on guitars, Blake Adams on bass and Aaron Landry on drums. The band pairs classic thrash aggression with a darker, more atmospheric and theatrical streak, and builds its records around narrative rather than around standalone songs. The debut album, Horrors of Reality, was released in 2023 and pressed on CD, cassette and vinyl by Shadow Kingdom Records, the label Void signed to in the summer of 2024. A single and video, Return of the Phantom, was filmed at the Grand Opera House of the South. The second full-length, Forbidden Morals, followed in 2025 and is a concept album tracing a traveller's descent into the castle of Vlad the Impaler. In February 2026 the band signed to Metal Blade Records, marking the move with a limited signed merchandise run. Void tours steadily: the Forbidden Morals Tour covered North America across September and October 2025, and the band has shared stages with established thrash acts including Dark Angel, Forbidden, Sacred Reich and Exhorder. Festival appearances include Keep It True in Germany, the San Luis Metal Festival in Mexico, and the American traditional-metal gatherings Hell's Heroes and Blade of Steel. The live show is pitched at the audiences those bills draw, leaning on tempo and on the horror imagery that carries through the artwork and videos.
