Twisted Teens
punk rock · post-punk
Twisted Teens is a punk band from New Orleans, Louisiana, led by singer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist C.P.N. "Caspian" Hollywell, who also plays in the folk-punk group Blackbird Raum and records as CPNPC and Chardonnay. The core pairing puts Hollywell, who handles most of the drums, guitar, bass, synths and vocals on record, alongside pedal steel player Razor "R.J." Ramone Santos, a combination that pulls the band out of straight punk and toward country, folk and garage rock; Hollywell has said he wanted to make something that felt like a garage rock record but definitely was not one. Guitarist Mel Billiard, drummer Howe Pearson, keyboardist Cameron Snyder and drummer Magnus Nymo of Blackbird Raum appear on individual tracks. The self-titled debut, eleven songs on themes of masculinity, spirituality and sexuality, appeared in April 2024; the six-song EU EP, produced by Steven Ansell, followed on October 15, 2025. Blame the Clown, eleven tracks mastered by Jaxon Vesely, came out on February 13, 2026, and the thirteen-song Florida Water Blues arrived on July 10, 2026, with Darcey Blye guesting on vocals. The band's albums are carried on vinyl, CD and cassette by Chain Smoking Records, and its Bandcamp catalogue also holds collaborative tapes including Holy Cross Tape and GET AWAY FROM THE FEDERALS. Ground Control Touring books the group, which tours North America and abroad, and its writeups place the sound somewhere between Raw Power-era Stooges and the punk-to-country pipeline, with the band itself describing its political platform as religious psychosis. Twisted Teens plays George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
