Tré Burt

Tré Burt is a folk, blues and Americana singer-songwriter from Sacramento, California. He self-released his debut album, Caught It From The Rye, in 2019, and it was reissued in early 2020 by Oh Boy Records, the label founded by John Prine. In September 2020 he released the single Under the Devil's Knee, a response to police violence and systemic racism recorded with Sunny War, Leyla McCalla and Allison Russell. His second album, You, Yeah, You, followed in 2021, recorded in Durham, North Carolina with producer Brad Cook and featuring contributions from Amelia Meath of Sylvan Esso, Phil Cook and Kelsey Waldon. For his third album, Traffic Fiction (2023), Burt wrote and demoed material in the wilderness of Alberta, Canada before completing the record in Nashville; it honors his late grandfather, Tommy Burt, and draws on music he heard on car rides in childhood. All three albums were issued by Oh Boy. Following the release of Traffic Fiction he opened for Wilco on tours of North America and Europe, and he toured solo in 2024. He performs both alone with a guitar and with a backing band. He appears at Globe Hall in Denver.
