TM Krishna

T. M. Krishna is a Carnatic vocalist, writer and activist born in 1976 in Chennai, India. He is known for reshaping the conventions of the Carnatic concert and for staging performances outside traditional venues, and received the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2016 and the Madras Music Academy's Sangita Kalanidhi in 2024. His books include A Southern Music: The Carnatic Story.
