Tinlicker is a Dutch electronic act formed in Utrecht in 2012 by Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven, working in progressive house, deep house and indietronica. The project built its reputation on long-form, melody-led club music drawing on Paul Kalkbrenner, Trentemoller and Moderat, and has released through Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Mau5trap, Armada and PIAS. Its debut album, This Is Not Our Universe, arrived on Anjunabeats in 2019 and reached number one on the dance album charts in the United States, Australia, Canada, India and Finland. In Another Lifetime followed on Anjunadeep in 2022, and Cold Enough for Snow, released by PIAS in 2024, moved further toward song form with guest vocals from Brian Molko of Placebo, Tom Smith of Editors and Circa Waves. A fourth album, Dreams of the Machine, came out on PIAS in February 2026 and is credited to Tinlicker and Hero Baldwin: the London-based vocalist, who had already appeared on the act's singles, became a permanent third member in October 2025, making the group a Dutch-British trio. The fourteen-track record was trailed by the singles Release, Reborn, I Want My Freedom and God In You, and folds indie guitar textures, piano figures and dub techno atmospheres into the established sound. As remixers Tinlicker have reworked material by Alt-J, Lane 8 and Deadmau5 among others. The act works in both DJ and live formats and has performed at Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra, Creamfields, Pinkpop, Sziget and Electric Daisy Carnival, with 2026 headline dates in rooms including Amsterdam's AFAS Live, London's Exhibition, Manchester's Albert Hall and Berlin's Astra.
