The Spooklights

The Spooklights are an Ozark-region duo of Ben Miller and Pat Kay who combine banjo, slide guitar and synthesizers in a style they call Ozark stomp grass. The pair began collaborating during the COVID-19 pandemic and previously performed as MK Ultra before adopting the name The Spooklights in October 2023, taken from a paranormal light phenomenon near Joplin, Missouri. Their debut album, MK Ultra, was released the same month.
