The Seldom Scene

The Seldom Scene is a progressive bluegrass band formed in Bethesda, Maryland in 1971 by John Duffey, John Starling, Mike Auldridge, Ben Eldridge and Tom Gray. Known for close harmony singing and a repertoire that reaches past traditional bluegrass into country and pop, the group held long residencies at the Red Fox Inn and The Birchmere and remains active with a lineup including Lou Reid, Ron Stewart, Fred Travers and Ronnie Simpkins.
