The Original Five

The Original Five is a bluegrass and roots band based in Malmö, Sweden, formed in 2010. Composed of acoustic guitarist Jonas Svahn, dobro player Daniel Olsson, banjoist/fiddler Johan Malmberg, and double bassist Dan Englund, the group blends traditional 1940s and 1950s bluegrass with original songwriting, western swing, and tight four-part vocal harmonies. The band has released five studio albums including Across the Deep Blue Sea, touring festivals and concert halls across Europe and the United States.
