The Hodnett Family Band

The Hodnett Family Band is a bluegrass and gospel group from central North Carolina. The trio is made up of Brooke on fiddle, bass and vocals, Evan on dobro and vocals, and Jamie on guitar and vocals, and the family describes itself as carrying a third- and fourth-generation music heritage. Its repertoire pairs traditional bluegrass with gospel material, and the band frames its work around the motto Faith, Family, and Fiddlin' Around, stating a mission built on faith and on connecting directly with the people it plays for. Alongside regional dates the group has performed at Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, and on WoodSongs in Lexington, Kentucky. Most of its calendar stays close to home and mixes concert bookings with church work: homecoming and Christmas services at Baptist congregations in Reidsville and Roxboro, coffee shops, farmers markets and community events, and the Moorefields Bluegrass Festival at the Moorefields Foundation in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
