The Chuck Wagon Gang is an American gospel group founded in 1935 by D.P. Carter with his children Ernest, Lola and Effie, and it has performed for more than ninety years apart from a pause during World War II. The group is known for four-part gospel harmony and records for Thoroughbred Records. Its current lineup is led by Shaye Smith, a great-granddaughter of the founder, with Melissa Kemper, Josh Garner, Nick Poe and Roger Newman.
