The Chuck Underwood Trio

The Chuck Underwood Trio is a Washington, D.C. and Maryland-area jazz ensemble led by veteran guitarist, producer, and educator Chuck Underwood alongside bassist Mark Lysher and drummer Byron McWilliams. Underwood has toured with Patti LaBelle and performed with James Brown and the National Symphony Orchestra. Known for exploratory, reactionary improvisations across jazz standards, blues, and avant-garde styles, the trio performs regularly across D.C.-area jazz rooms including Hank Dietle's Tavern in Rockville.
