The Blue Rags

The Blue Rags are a ragtime and boogie-woogie band from Asheville, North Carolina, formed in 1990 in Statesville by pianist Jake Hollifield and guitarist Scott Sharpe, who met at community college there. The group recorded two albums for Sub Pop, Rag-N-Roll in 1997 and Eat at Joe's in 1999, disbanded informally in 2000 and has since reunited for occasional Asheville-area shows.
