The Bailiwicks

The Bailiwicks are an Americana and folk band based in Fairhope, Alabama, near Mobile on the Gulf Coast. The four-piece uses the traditional bluegrass instrumentation of mandolin, banjo, guitar and bass in a nontraditional style they call Baygrass, combining laid-back grooves, twangy clawhammer stompers and close, church-leaning harmony, with the Gulf Coast region itself cited as the reference point for the sound. The group formerly performed as The Bailiwick Brothers. Its album Redbird was released on March 29, 2023 and runs five tracks: Redbird, Murder, Annaleigh, Gas Station Cowboy and Leaving It All Behind. Other released songs include Bad Bad Dream, St. Louis Getaway, You've Got to Help Me, Circles and Delta Queen.
