Thaiboy Digital is the stage name of Thanapat Bunleang, a Thai-Swedish rapper born in Khon Kaen, Thailand, in the mid-1990s and now based in Bangkok. He moved to Stockholm at age eight after his mother took work as a chef at the Austrian embassy, and there met the musicians with whom he co-founded the collective Drain Gang in 2013, alongside Bladee, Ecco2k and producer Whitearmor. In 2015 Swedish immigration authorities forced his return to Thailand over a visa dispute, a decision publicly protested by the rapper Yung Lean; he has recorded and toured from Thailand since. His early output came as mixtapes, including Tiger in 2014 and Lord of Jewels in 2015, before the debut studio album Legendary Member in 2019. Back 2 Life followed in 2022, Yin and Yang appeared as a 2020 mixtape, and Paradise, made with swedm, arrived in 2026. He also releases under the alias DJ Billybool, which produced the EP My Fantasy World in 2020 and the album DYR in 2025. His work with Drain Gang, whose electronic and cloud-rap output has been widely credited as a foundation for the digicore scene, includes the GTBSG Compilation in 2013, AvP in 2016, D and G in 2017, the collaborative album Trash Island in 2019 and Crest in 2022. The Drain Gang members signed to the Stockholm label Year0001 in 2016 and parted ways with it in 2024.
