Stewart Copeland - Have I Said Too Much

Have I Said Too Much is the solo spoken-word touring show of Stewart Copeland, the drummer and composer who founded the Police in 1977 with Sting and guitarist Henry Padovani, soon replaced by Andy Summers. Billed in full as Have I Said Too Much - The Police, Hollywood, and Other Adventures, the roughly 90-minute evening pairs conversation with photographs and video and closes with an audience question-and-answer segment, covering Copeland's work as a drummer, film composer, author and filmmaker. The first leg opened on 3 June 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and ran through 34 American cities; a second run was added for late October and November 2026, winding down on 22 November in Charlotte. Copeland was born in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1952, the son of a CIA officer, and spent much of his childhood in the Middle East. He played with the British progressive rock group Curved Air in the mid-1970s before forming the Police, whose late-1970s and early-1980s run made them one of the largest bands of the era and led to a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2003 and a 151-date reunion tour across five continents in 2007 and 2008. Away from the band he scored Francis Ford Coppola's Rumble Fish (1983), which brought him a Golden Globe nomination, and Oliver Stone's Wall Street (1987); wrote television themes for The Equalizer and Dead Like Me; and composed music for the Spyro the Dragon video game series and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. He has also written operas, among them the Nikola Tesla piece Electric Saint, and played in Animal Logic, Oysterhead and Gizmodrome. His 2023 album Police Deranged for Orchestra recasts Police material for large ensemble. The touring show carries no band and is booked into theatres and clubs.
