Stephen Day is an American singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. He grew up in Buford, Georgia, outside Atlanta, and moved to Nashville in 2014 to study at Belmont University. His songwriting blends pop with soul and blues phrasing, built around a light, conversational vocal rather than belting. He debuted in 2016 with the EP Undergrad Romance and the Moses in Me, then released the album Guess I'm Grown Now in 2019, whose singles included Dancing in the Street and For Life. The Shapes I'm In followed in 2021 and became the basis of his first headlining run, the Shapes I'm In Tour, in 2022. He signed with the Nashville independent Riser House Records in October 2024 and released Gold Mine through the label on September 19, 2025, preceded by the singles Sweet Iced Tea, which features Allen Stone, and Old News; a headlining Gold Mine Tour followed in 2025. He is a frequent guest on other artists' records, appearing on Stephen Sanchez's Home to Mother from the album Love, Love, Love and on Cory Wong's Tongue Tied in 2025. As a support act he has opened for Teddy Swims, Ben Rector, Stephen Sanchez, KALEO, Lawrence and Cory Wong. His catalog has passed 140 million streams.
