Slag Mountain is a Pittsburgh bluegrass and old-time band made up of Dave Shepherd on guitar, Nathan Vargo on fiddle, Mitch Hall on bass and Jason Borisoff on mandolin. The group plays traditional material in what it calls a steel-town sound, hosts a recurring jam session at Trace Echo in Pittsburgh, and has issued a self-titled release on Bandcamp.
