Scoochie Boochie

Scoochie Boochie is an American comedic rapper based in Chicago. His five albums, Dippin' Sauce in 2018, The Lost City of Atlantits in 2020, Sunrise at Dawn in Space in 2022, Dadquest in 2023 and The Drinking Fountain of Youth in 2026, form a connected storyline he calls the Scoochiverse, and are preceded by the 2017 mixtape Butter Money. He has worked under the name since about 2015 and spent roughly a decade in the Grand Rapids, Michigan and Chicago comedy scenes before music became his main outlet. In January 2025, videos for Car Butt, I Have Sex and several other tracks went viral, bringing more than four hundred thousand new followers to a back catalogue that had gone largely unheard. His own material emphasises innuendo and dense, fast comic flows carried across an album-length narrative rather than one-off novelty songs, a structure he compares to serialised storytelling. His Bandcamp biography is written entirely in character: born in a volcano, best rapper in the United States, will die in a volcano. He tours small rooms and clubs, including the Ottobar in Baltimore and Chop Suey in Seattle.
