Rrinaco

bluegrass

Rrinaco is the original-songwriting project of fiddler, singer and songwriter Corrina Rose Logston Stephens, who took the name from a middle-school nickname made by rearranging the letters of her first name. She is otherwise known as the fiddler and harmony singer in High Fidelity, the traditional bluegrass band she leads with her husband, guitarist and banjo player Jeremy Stephens. Formed in early 2014, that group won the International Band Championship at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America awards that February and was nominated three years running for the International Bluegrass Music Association's New Artist of the Year. Rrinaco exists for original material that does not fit High Fidelity's retro-grass approach. She signed with Rebel Records in September 2024 and played the label's showcase during IBMA's World of Bluegrass week in Raleigh that month. The debut single, Get Along Somehow, followed in May 2025, and the debut album, Little Songs, came out on Rebel in July 2025. It runs thirteen tracks, all originals but for two covers, and features Jeremy Stephens on acoustic and electric guitars and harmony vocals, Casey Campbell on mandolin, P.J. George on upright bass and piano, Kevin Buchanan on percussion and Doug Jernigan on pedal steel. Reviewing it for Bluegrass Today, Lee Zimmerman described the collection as wistful and reverential in equal measure. The music stays close to bluegrass instrumentation while occasionally adding hollow-body electric guitar, and the lyrics are conversational, ranging from the spiritual to the everyday. Videos for Not That Bad and Two or More followed later in 2025, along with a recording of the carol Angels From The Realms of Glory that December.
