Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder is the bluegrass band led by mandolinist and singer Ricky Skaggs, active since 1997. Built around fiddle, banjo, guitars and upright bass, the group has won seven Grammy Awards and was repeatedly named the International Bluegrass Music Association's Instrumental Group of the Year between 1998 and 2006.
