Rhiannon Giddens

Rhiannon Giddens is an American singer, fiddler and banjo player from Greensboro, North Carolina, born in 1977. A founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, she has also worked with Our Native Daughters, The New Basement Tapes and the Silkroad Ensemble, and her solo albums include Tomorrow Is My Turn, Freedom Highway and You're the One. She won a Grammy in 2011, a MacArthur Fellowship in 2017 and the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Music for the opera Omar.
