Rhett Akins is an American country singer and songwriter who debuted on Decca Records with the 1995 album A Thousand Memories and its hit single That Ain't My Truck. He went on to become one of Nashville's most successful songwriters, with number-one singles written for artists including Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2021.
