Poppy is the stage name of American singer and songwriter Moriah Rose Pereira, who was born in Boston and moved to Los Angeles in 2013, first drawing attention through surreal YouTube performance videos. Her music has shifted from the bubblegum electropop of Poppy.Computer (2017) toward nu metal and industrial rock on I Disagree (2020) and later albums, and her single Bloodmoney made her the first solo female artist nominated for the Grammy for Best Metal Performance.
