Pink Fuzz
rock · alternative rock
Pink Fuzz is a rock trio from Denver, Colorado, fronted by siblings John Demitro on guitar and vocals and LuLu Demitro on bass, synthesizer and vocals, with Will Trafas on drums. The Demitros grew up in Boulder playing piano together, and John recruited his sister into his high school band before the two formed Pink Fuzz at the end of 2017 out of an earlier Boulder group called the Bandits. The band describes its own sound as classic stoner rock pushed up against shoegaze, alternative rock and indie rock; NPR has characterized it as riotous desert rock, and the group cites Queens of the Stone Age and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club among its reference points, noting that when it started no other band in Boulder was working in that register. Its recorded catalog runs from the 2018 debut Speed Demon through Vitals in 2019, the concert set Live at Silo Sound in 2021, the 2022 EP Fading Away, the album Resolution in September 2025 and Manipulator, released in June 2026. On stage the trio keeps song structures intact while leaving marked sections open for improvisation. John Demitro has attributed the writing partnership's durability to the siblings' willingness to be blunt with each other about material. The band plays Colorado rooms including 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco.
