Piedmont Blūz Acoustic Duo is a New York-based country blues act made up of Valerie and Benedict Turner. Valerie plays Piedmont-style fingerpicked guitar in the tradition of Mississippi John Hurt, Elizabeth Cotten and Etta Baker, while Benedict accompanies on washboard, bones and harmonica. The duo was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame and weaves the history of early blues musicians into its performances.
