Paul McDonald & the Mourning Doves is the Americana and roots-rock band led by singer Paul McDonald, who was born in Auburn, Alabama, raised in Huntsville and has been based in Nashville, Tennessee. McDonald previously fronted Hightide Blues, later renamed The Grand Magnolias, and finished eighth on the tenth season of American Idol.
