Olivia Rodrigo is an American pop singer-songwriter, born Olivia Isabel Rodrigo on February 20, 2003, in Murrieta, California, and signed to Geffen Records. Her father, a family therapist, is of Filipino descent and her mother, a schoolteacher, is of German and Irish descent; Rodrigo was born partially deaf in her left ear. She started as a child actor, appearing in commercials and the 2015 film An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success before landing regular roles on Disney Channel's Bizaardvark from 2016 to 2019 and Disney+'s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series from 2019 to 2022. She signed with Geffen in 2020 and released Drivers License in January 2021, a debut single that broke Spotify streaming records and set up her first album, Sour, which topped charts internationally that year. Guts followed in 2023, and her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, a 14-song concept record, arrived on June 12, 2026 and gave her her largest opening week in both the United States and the United Kingdom; its singles include drop dead, the cure and stupid song. The lead singles from all three albums, Drivers License, Vampire and Drop Dead, each debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and all three albums entered the Billboard 200 at number one. Most of her recorded work has been made with producer Dan Nigro. She has won three Grammy Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards, and Time named her its Entertainer of the Year in 2021. Her arena and stadium touring, including the Guts World Tour, has taken her to rooms such as Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
