Noeline Hofmann is a Canadian country and western singer-songwriter born in 2003 in Bow Island, Alberta. She grew up in a farming family in the Alberta badlands, where her parents worked as crop dusters, took piano lessons and wrote poetry as a child, began writing songs at twelve, and picked up guitar as a teenager. After high school she worked a series of jobs, including a stint as a server at a grill that became the subject of her song Bob's, and in the spring of 2021 moved to western Manitoba to work at Poplarview Stock Farm. She began playing small venues near her Alberta hometown in mid-2023. In October 2023 she posted a phone video of her original song Purple Gas to TikTok; it reached Zach Bryan, who invited her to Oklahoma to film a performance for his Belting Bronco series and then recorded the song with her as a duet for his 2024 album The Great American Bar Scene. That version charted at number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 19 on Hot Country Songs and number 51 on the Canadian Hot 100. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2024 and released her debut EP, also titled Purple Gas, on October 18, 2024 through La Honda Records, the label that also carries Colter Wall and Vincent Neil Emerson. In 2025 she won the SiriusXM Top of the Country competition and took Female Artist, Songwriter and Video of the Year at the Country Music Alberta Awards, followed by Canadian Country Music Association nominations and a 2026 Juno nomination for Breakthrough Artist. She has since been booked as an opening act on dates of Shaboozey's Outlaws Never Die tour.
