Nine Vicious

Nine Vicious is the stage name of Trevon Echols, an American rapper from Athens, Georgia, born in 2002 and working in trap, rage and cloud rap. He circulated his first music on SoundCloud, drawing attention with tracks such as I Love You and Ill Nva, and released his opening mixtape, Studio Addict, in December 2024. A co-sign from Young Thug for the song U Fancy led to a signing with the Young Stoner Life label, which he has since left; his releases now come through Studio Addicts in partnership with Create Music. Two albums followed in 2025, Tumblr Music in March and For Nothing in July, each trailed by a short prelude EP in a pattern repeated across the catalogue as B4TM, B4FN and B4EM. His third album, Emotions, arrived on 3 April 2026: a 23-track, 71-minute record built with eleven producers, among them Echols himself, Patrick Garza and 406ahmad, and carrying a single guest appearance from Kacy Hill. It entered the Billboard 200 at No. 102, his first placement on that chart, and reached No. 16 on Independent Albums. Critical response split sharply, with Pitchfork and AllMusic both marking it down for repetition while Complex counted it among the year's better rap albums. He made his Rolling Loud debut in May 2026 and appeared as a guest on Kanye West's 2026 album Bully. The Emotions tour carried him through theatres and ballrooms across the United States that summer, including the Eastern in Atlanta, the Hollywood Palladium, San Francisco's Fillmore and Showbox SoDo in Seattle.
