New Gypsy Cowboys is an American country-rock ensemble whose repertoire pays tribute to the Bakersfield, Laurel Canyon and Marin County country sounds. Its lineup draws on established touring musicians, including bassist Skip Vangelas of Dark Star Orchestra, drummer Johnny Markowski of New Riders of the Purple Sage and saxophonist Kenny Brooks of RatDog, along with pedal steel, percussion, guitars and keys.
