Michael Franti Trio is a small-group touring configuration fronted by Michael Franti, the Oakland-born singer, rapper and activist who leads Michael Franti & Spearhead. Franti's music blends hip hop with reggae, folk, funk and rock, and he co-founded the nonprofit Do It For The Love, which brings people facing serious illness to concerts.
