McKinley James is a guitarist, singer and songwriter originally from Rochester, New York and now based in Nashville, drawing on blues, Motown-influenced soul and rock. He is signed to Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound label, performs with his father, drummer Jason Smay, and has toured with ZZ Top.
