Mathew Wilburn Skinner is an acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter whose fingerstyle playing draws on Delta blues and jazz. He was a member of the band Tallgrass, where he worked to extend the banjo beyond its usual bluegrass role, and his releases include the albums When the Sky Falls and Play for the King.
