Mark Schultz & the Wayne Rangers

Mark Schultz & the Wayne Rangers is a band based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, led by banjo and guitar player Mark Schultz. Schultz took up banjo and guitar in the early 1960s during the folk revival and went on to concentrate on the five-string banjo, playing over the years with klezmer, swing, folk, country and traditional bluegrass groups. That range carries into the Wayne Rangers, where jazz, country, folk and klezmer material is arranged for bluegrass instrumentation. The group plays regularly around the Philadelphia area, including 118 North in Wayne, and a full concert recorded at the Sellersville Theater is posted on the band's website alongside its performance video archive. Outside music, Schultz works as a trial lawyer and trial consultant and has held bar leadership roles. He lives in Wayne with his wife, Susie.
