Mamma Mania! is a New York-based ABBA tribute band billed as The American Tribute to ABBA. Its cast is drawn from working New York theater and touring musicians, including current and former members of the official North American touring production of Mamma Mia! and of acts such as Marc Martel's Queen Extravaganza, INXS, Britney Spears, Rob Thomas and The Weeknd. The group performs ABBA's catalog, from "Dancing Queen" to "Mamma Mia," in 1970s period costume, with the vocal harmony arrangements rather than the staged musical's book as the focus. It works the American theater and performing-arts-center circuit rather than clubs, and describes itself as the most-booked American ABBA tribute.
