Los Sugar Kings is a Boston-based quartet named after a Cuban baseball team that pays respect to Afro-Cuban son, salsa and rumba flamenca while drawing on influences from nearly every continent in a roots-rock-reggae repertoire. The current lineup is Patino Vazquez, Mik Mersha, whose playing brings funk, reggae and Ethiopian influences, Dan Abreu and Tony Curtis Hall.
