Living Light is the downtempo and psychedelic dub project of American electronic producer Eartha Harris, who grew up in rural Massachusetts and is based in Boston. Harris began producing and touring as a teenager and spent roughly 2007 to 2012 as lead keyboardist in the live electronic band Psylab before starting Living Light, whose debut album Ecliptic Visions was released on Desert Dwellers' label Desert Trax in 2013 following a month of yoga study in India. Her work draws on psychedelic dub, global bass and midtempo electronica. Desert Trax also issued the remix set Ecliptic Re-Visions (2015), the two-part Tales from the Karman Line EPs (2016) and the album The Great Attractor (2018); the 2022 album Multidimensional Sandcastles and its 2023 remix edition came out on Sphere Pop, and she has appeared on compilations for Merkaba Music, Sofa Beats and Liquid Sound Design. Multidimensional Sandcastles runs about 44 minutes and features Simon Posford of Shpongle on guitar, bass and Kyma processing on the title track, Gabriel Le Mar of Saafi Brothers on electric guitar, E-bow and 303 programming, and Chris Barker of Ott and the All-Seeing I on bass; Torin Goodnight mastered it. Harris has also produced official remixes for Bluetech, Papadosio, CloZee, Globular, Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, Ayla Nereo and Kaya Project, among others. In 2021 she launched a second, uptempo alias under her own name, Eartha Harris, for house- and trance-leaning material, much of it through Techgnosis Records, including Soft Apocalypse and Mirror Suit. She works the international festival circuit, with sets at Envision in Costa Rica, Cosmic Convergence in Guatemala, Tribal Gathering in Panama, Psy-Fi in the Netherlands, Eclipse Festival in Canada, Burning Man, Sonic Bloom and Arise.
