Liam Purcell

Liam Purcell is an American bluegrass and Americana multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter from Deep Gap, North Carolina. Raised near the home of Doc Watson, Purcell studied on scholarship at Berklee College of Music and made history in 2022 by winning RockyGrass instrumental championships across guitar, mandolin, and banjo in a single year. Fronting the acclaimed stringband Cane Mill Road (winner of the 2019 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year award), Purcell tours nationally, performing at festivals including MerleFest and listening rooms such as The Word Barn in Exeter, New Hampshire.
