Lakeview is an independent country rock duo of Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy, formed in suburban Pittsburgh in 2019 and later based in Nashville. The two first met in 2010, when Denaro's hardcore band opened for Healy's at a church show in Florida; they reconnected years later at a Pittsburgh party, became roommates, and worked construction and nightclub security while writing together. That background shows in the music, which sets country songwriting against arena rock and metalcore weight. They name Randy Travis and Don Williams alongside Nickelback, Disturbed, Lynyrd Skynyrd and P.O.D. as influences, and Healy has described the result as tailgate music. The duo released the EP Small-Town-Famous in 2021, signed a publishing deal with Ace High Music in May 2024, and put out their self-titled debut album on September 13, 2024. The single Money Where Your Mouth Is reached No. 39 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and Wreck My Night peaked at No. 23 on Hot Hard Rock Songs. Their records have moved through several label partners, including Gravel Road, Riser House, Spinefarm and Snakefarm, and their songs have been played on SiriusXM's Octane and The Highway. Live, they have spent more time in front of rock crowds than country ones: an amphitheater run with Staind and Breaking Benjamin in 2024, an arena tour with the same bands in spring 2025, dates with Daughtry, headlining club shows of their own, and a slot at Wacken Open Air in Germany in the summer of 2025. The band calls its audience the Home Team, a phrase also attached to one of the debut album's songs, and leans on that community language in its merchandise and online presence.
