KiNG MALA is the recording project of Los Angeles-based artist Areli Castro, who works in a dark, beat-driven strain of alternative pop. Her releases include the 2023 EP Spilt Milk, featuring the song Sunny Side Up, and the 2025 album And You Who Drowned in the Grief of a Golden Thing, both issued via Handwritten Records.
