Jerry Douglas is a dobro and lap steel player born in 1956 in Warren, Ohio, and widely regarded as a leading figure on the instrument in contemporary acoustic music. A 14-time Grammy winner, he has been a member of Alison Krauss & Union Station since 1998, leads the Jerry Douglas Band, co-founded the Earls of Leicester, and has played on more than 1,600 albums as a session musician.
