Helado Negro is the recording project of Roberto Carlos Lange, a South Florida-born musician of Ecuadorian descent who writes and sings in both English and Spanish. His work blends Latin, folk, electronic and experimental styles across albums including This Is How You Smile (2019), Far In (2021) and Phasor (2024), released on labels such as Asthmatic Kitty, RVNG Intl. and 4AD.
