Hancock & Shouse

bluegrass · americana · roots

Hancock & Shouse is a Kentucky bluegrass act led by guitarist Arthur Hancock, formerly the banjo player in The Wooks, and mandolinist Chris Shouse, formerly the singer and guitarist in 23 String Band. The pair began performing together in 2020 and later grew the project into the band Wolfpen Branch, resuming as Hancock & Shouse after that group disbanded. They focus on old-time brother duets and traditional mountain music, and also play as a larger band with fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar and bass.
