Gracie Abrams is an American pop singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, born September 7, 1999. She is the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, attended the Archer School for Girls in West Los Angeles, and enrolled at Barnard College to study international relations before leaving after a year to pursue music. Signed to Interscope Records, she built an early audience on spare, diaristic songs posted online and released the EPs Minor (2020), made with producers Joel Little and Blake Slatkin, and This Is What It Feels Like (2021). Her debut album, Good Riddance, arrived in 2023 and was made with Aaron Dessner of The National, who has co-written and co-produced all three of her albums. The Secret of Us followed in 2024 and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200; its single That's So True reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number four on the Billboard Global 200. Her collaboration with Taylor Swift, Us, was nominated for a Grammy for best pop duo or group performance, and Abrams was separately nominated for best new artist. She won the American Music Award for new artist of the year in 2025. Her third album, Daughter from Hell, was released in July 2026 through Interscope, preceded by the singles Hit the Wall and Look at My Life. Abrams built her live audience opening arena and stadium shows, including Olivia Rodrigo's Sour Tour in 2022 and Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in 2023 and 2024, before headlining arenas herself; the Look at My Life Tour is scheduled to open in Denver in December 2026 and run into 2027 across North America and Europe. Her songwriting is generally filed under folk pop and bedroom pop, built on close-miked vocals and understated arrangements.
